Logo meaning
The four interlocking rings represent the 1932 merger of four founding companies — Audi, DKW, Horch and Wanderer — into Auto Union.
History
Founded by August Horch after he left the company bearing his own name, Audi grew from the Auto Union alliance into one of Germany's premium marques. Today it anchors the luxury tier of the Volkswagen Group and is known for its quattro all-wheel-drive and understated design language.
