Car Brands in NASCAR

NASCAR's top division has always been a battle between a small group of manufacturers. Today just three car brands compete in the Cup Series, but many more have raced — and won — across the sport's history.

Chevrolet, Ford and Toyota are the three manufacturers in the modern NASCAR Cup Series. Over the decades they have been joined by American names like Dodge, Plymouth, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Mercury and Buick, several of which have since left the sport or been discontinued entirely.
